Bio

In alliance with Georgeta Gavriloiu Law Office Our partnership with Georgeta, who oversees the competition area allows us to provide our clients with high-quality legal advice, drawing from her broad experience in both public enforcement and private practice. Georgeta provides advice on EU and Competition Law, her field of expertise including handling cases related to mergers, antitrust, State aid, unfair trade practices, unfair competition law and foreign direct investment control. She assists companies in their interactions with the European Commission and the Competition Council. Georgeta received her bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Bucharest in 1997 and she obtained a diploma in advanced studies of EC Law from the same university in 2004. Georgeta joined the Bucharest Bar in 2013, after a 16-year tenure at the Competition Council. In addition to her experience in the private practice in high-profile law firms from Romania, Georgeta’s professional background includes serving as the Director of the Industry and Energy Directorate at the Romanian Competition Council and as the competition authority’s Liaison Officer with the European Commission on mergers and antitrust cases. Her expertise in the application of competition law both from public and private perspectives is a significant asset for our clients.
